    So who's paying $7000 for Maya??

  2. In an attractive animated movie there is roughly 1440 frames a minute. If we round this short to 3 minutes we can deduce that there is probably around 4320 frames in this video. Being a high quality animation each frame I think would of taken around 10 hours to render. Multiply 4320 by 10 = 43,200 hours to render. But spread across probably 500 computers on an online render farm nearer to 86 hours. So a good 3.5 days to render a 3 minute clip. Wow.
