  1. I really just think that you should have put instead of this goofy looking black blob you should have put something cool like a Slenderman!… otherwise I really like it.

  2. parece tratarse sobre abuso sexual…eso explicaria el por q trataba de suicidarse y lo ocultaba a su madre diciendo q estaba bien

  3. Now THAT was good,  love the animation style and the dark tone of the short film.  Watched it through and am very impressed with it.

  4. Depression sucks big time! She's not even allowed to end the torture in peace either because people chose to call with inquiries and useless platitudes, that are totally shallow and a waste of air. I think you caught it well in this short.

  5. I love how at the end….the darkness appears after she says "I'm fine" showing that she's lying….she was still unhappy….the little trance did nothing for her 😔

  6. Am I the only one who thought that she might've just accidentally fallen asleep in the shower and that the phone saved her life?😅 just me? Ok…

  7. I feel like this says something about depression. Like the shadows is life and being alive. She was running away from living desperately trying to get in the light which is death but she doesn't succeed so she wakes up in the bath instead of drowning and dying.

  8. That last line "yeah yeah I'm fine" as the lighting turns darker is a fantastic way to show the true nature of depression. You feel crazy for feeling the way you do, so you lie to the people around you about it so they don't have to worry about you. But it only makes it worse.
I like that this short showed depression for what it was. It consumes everything and it's not something that can be cured in one bath. Most shorts would have shown her being miraculously healed of her depression, but this one ended with a dark statement on the pressures society puts on sufferers. A pressure that makes them endure in silence until one day, worst comes to worse.

  9. My guess is the black figures are life and she sees them as the bad guys because they are bringing her back to her reality and making her face her fear, when in reality they are good because they represent life, and the bright light is evil and is made to look good and pure as it is her only escape, but in actuality it is what is killing her, as it is a representation of death (you know, the bright light). When she is engulfed by the "bad guys" she is "brought back to life" and made to face her fears and suicidal tendencies. In the end, she chose life.

  10. this is what anxiety and depression feel like , the darkness is always happy to see u with warm smiles and open arms and no matter how hard you fight to get away it is always a part of you 😔

  11. Personally I think this relates to PTSD. It's something subtle like taking a bath and suddenly there's a trigger that goes off inside your head. The room is spinning and you can hardly breath, you feel like something is coming after you but you don't know what. You can feel it grabbing and pushing holding you underwater and it seems like you'll die there and nobody will ever find you and then it's over. The room isn't spinning. There's nothing coming after you. You're safe but the memory is still there. Your stomach is still in knots.

  12. I think this is a story about a girl who has really bad anxiety and she has insomnia because she like really bad night mirrors so she can't sleep. this is probably her first time living alone by her self and she probably really missis her mom and dad a lot. that's just my thoughts on this animated story.☺

  13. She was just putting her head underneath the water, and fell asleep while she was in the bathtub. It does not seem as if she were attempting to commit suicide. Besides, drowning yourself is almost impossible if you have the option to resurface. Survival instincts will kick in.

  14. John 8:12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

  15. For parents of a teenage girl today, this probably hit too close to home. But well done, message rec'd (at least she didn't OD on opioids).

  16. if you ever have bad day don't end your life it's not worth it, just take a deep breath and move on because there's always something new coming around the corner😎👍✌💖💗

  17. 👨‍🎤🎤🎵it can be hard, it can be so hard, but you gotta live right now, you got everything to give right now, I want you to be alive, I want you to be alive, you don't gotta die today, you don't gotta die, I want you to be alive, I want you to be alive, you don't gotta die🎶

  18. Who has a large bath situated right in the middle of their bathroom? I know it’s probably just to center the main character in this film, but stil.

  19. We find ourselves the corner to hide
The truth that bitter and sting the side
All our hopes and all our dream
That burn a question that turned to steam.
There that linger that cannot explain
Who haunt our deeds in point of pain.
And when the shadow seep in the end,
We hope to god and luck shall mend.

  20. Close call…
Depression is a major problem that needs to be addressed on an individual, personal basis. This is not something to shrug about

  21. For those of you who were born no later than 20 years ago, the sound at the beginning was a landline telephone. That's what we had in the early 90s, before cell phones become commercially available.

  22. I'm not sure if it's about mental illness like depression and she's trying to over come it by herself or if she's fighting some inner demons.

  23. I’m gonna assume this is about a girl who suffers from a mental illness(clinical depression)which is what the shadow represents, and she’s trying so desperately to escape but it always finds a way to latch back onto her. I believe the light she’s reaching for could indicate a cry for help, or, possibly she was trying to kill herself and is trying to go into the light to end her suffering?
    That’s just my theory, though.

  24. I can see both sides of the light being "misleading/ death" while the shadows are "Reality/Life" that she's trying to escape Or the opposite Of the shadows are welcoming and unwilling t let her escape into the light or break free of her depression. Either way this interpreted it touches greatly on depression and it's impact.

  25. I think the " shadows" symbolize suicide and depression. The light represents life and hope, hope to get out of that depression and dangerous mindset.

  26. This is really scary geez with all those shadow creatures.
Plot twist-it was a dream and it comes back when she’s out of the bath
